In Calusa's final show under the moniker Benjamin Calusa and the New Pollution, BCNP will be making a departure from their usual deafening punk. In their return to Know Name Records in Dinkytown, Calusa will be covering the easy listening favorites from 70's artists including (but not limited to) James Taylor, Carly Simon, and John (not Bob) Denver.
While the decision to change formats is not directly linked to the negative press received in the latest Punk Planet, it is too bad that chowderheads like Ryan Leach can single-handedly ruin one's dreams just because Mr. "Grumpypants" Leach happens to have a small-one and is bitterly repressing his home-erotic tendencies.
So, thank you to WLTE for sponsoring* our show: Saturday, October 1st 5:00 PM at Know Name Records in Dinkytown, and giving Calusa a chance at a second-life with the more mass-friendly easy listening format. Thank you for your understanding and support, and for those who'll miss the punk rock, you can thank Ryan "Jerkface" Leach c/o Punk Planet.
